King James Version
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Joseph Smith Translation
And then said his disciples unto him, They will say unto us,
We ourselves are righteous and need not that any man should teach us;
God , we know, heard Moses, and some of the prophets; but us he will not hear.
And they will say, We have the law for our salvation, and that is sufficient for us.
Then Jesus answered, and said unto his disciples. Thus shall ye say unto them,
What man among you, having a son, and he shall be standing out,
and shall say, Father, open thy house that I am may come in and sup with thee;
will he not say, Come in, my son; for mine is thine, and thine is mine?
Or what man is there among you,
who if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
1. Joseph Smith added an entire question and answer period between the SAVIOR and his disciples.
All other translations of the Bible miss this critical question from the disciples.
2. "We ourselves are righteous" - The Jews of CHRIST's day are just like any other religion of any other time. No one can teach a die hard Mormon, Methodist, or Muslim anything. Their religion is enough for them. It will not save them, but they cannot see that. When everyone in your family is the same religion, and everyone in your neighborhood thinks the same (Pakistan or Utah), then no one feels the need to keep finding truth.
3. "God we know, heard Moses" - GOD talking to Moses saved Moses. It will not save any other Jew.
GOD talked to Joseph Smith, but that will not save me or any other person since 1844.
4. "But us he will not hear" - The second greatest lie ever behind the lie "there is no GOD. " GOD talked to Cain after Cain killed Abel! So somehow He will not talk to other people, unless they are prophets? HE might first come to chew your ass, but HE will come, if you have enough faith in HIM.
5. "We have the law for our salvation" - Good luck with that. These knuckleheads are currently paying for their own sins in the lowest level of the spirit world, Hell. I am going to rely on JESUS CHRIST for my salvation, because there is no salvation without Him.
6. There is a lot of other great meat here, but if you like milk, keep reading any other edition of the Bible, or better yet, find a recent LDS lesson manual.

Ask GOD: Matthew 7:7
King James Version
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Joseph Smith Translation
Say unto them, Ask of God;
ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
1. 6 simple words "say unto them, ask of God" change this entire verse. It is now crystal clear. JESUS is telling his disciples to tell anyone courageous enough to listen to additional truth to make GOD the final word. Modern "apostles" think they have the last word, but GOD reserves that for himself. You cannot trust men, but you can always trust JESUS.
2. Investigators of the Mormon Church are asked to pray about the truthfulness of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. This is based on Moroni 10:4. Sincere people get personal revelation from GOD that Joseph Smith is a prophet on the LORD's errand, and that the book he helped bring to the world is truly another witness of JESUS CHRIST.
3. Moroni 10:5 tells us that we can know the truth of all things via the HOLY GHOST, the third member of the GODHEAD.
4. This entire dispensation of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST began with a teenager reading James 1:5 and deciding to take GOD at his word. We might not get an immediate visit by the MOST HIGH GOD and His son JEHOVAH, but if we persist long enough we will.
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;

Back to the New Testament- Beams for leaders, motes for members
King James Version Matthew 7:3-5
And why beholdest the mote that is in thy brother's eye,
but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or wilt thou say to thy brother,
let me pull out the mote out of thine eye;
and behold a beam is in thine own eye.
Thou hypocrite first cast out the beam out of thine own eye;
and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Joseph Smith Translation aka "The Inspired Version"
And again, ye shall say unto them,
Why is it that thou beholdest the mote that is in thy brother's eye,
but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother,
Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye;
and canst not behold a beam in thine own eye?
And Jesus said unto his disciples, beholdest thou the scribes,
and the Pharisees, and the priests, and the Levites?
They teach in their synagogues, but do not observe the law;
nor the commandments, and all have gone out of the way,
and are under sin.
Go thou and say unto them,
Why teach ye men the law and the commandments,
when ye yourselves are the children of corruption?
Say unto them, Ye hypocrites, first cast out the beam
out of thine own eyes; and then shalt thou see clearly
to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
1. The truth here stated by the Eternal GOD, JESUS CHRIST, is that it is the leadership of a religion that is guilty of the greatest sins. The humble members who have no power have tiny specks of dust in their eyes. The proud priestly authorities have giant pieces of wood in their eyes making it impossible for them to judge correctly anyone else's flaws.
2. See Doctrine and Covenants section 121 for the LORD's warning to the leadership of this generation. That warning has habitually been broken or ignored by the leadership since the deaths of Hyrum and Joseph Smith. The absence of spiritual gifts in the LDS church since 1844 are proof positive that GOD has said "amen" to any pretended priesthood coming out of Salt Lake City.
3. Religious leaders blinded by the beams of greed, power, control, compulsion, hypocrisy, lust (via polygamy) and other sins cannot see clearly the minor sins committed by the rank and file members. This is how you end up with 15 superior beings who do not trust the 15 million followers, because they know at some level that they themselves cannot be trusted. So we get prohibitions against things we eat and drink, counsel to avoid R rated movies, limitations on earrings, 3 hour block schedules of busy work, and a constant focus of doing what you are told by people instead of a focus on what CHRIST said.
JESUS took the entire law of Moses and broke it down into 2 great commandments. Mormons can take ten commandments and magically turn them into 110. For the untrusted teenagers we throw in seminary every weekday morning (outside of the special land of Utah where the chosen children can sleep in). These kids obviously cannot be trusted to go more than 24 hours without an adult telling them what to do. Perhaps that is because the adults have more experience with actual sinning.
4. The typical follower of the LDS religion cannot accept CHRIST's good news at face value, believing HIS grace to be too good to be true. This causes the members to create a checklist of behaviors in an misguided attempt to save themselves or at least to occupy their time until they die and then get saved because they endured to the end by remaining active in a religion, but inactive spiritually.
5. CHRIST is clearly saying that leaders need to lead by example, like HE did. Until they have been redeemed from the fall via the 1st and 2nd comforters they need to focus on their own sins and be quiet. If I can't speak French, how can I teach someone else French? The LDS church has plenty of men who have never seen CHRIST, or an angel, or a vision, but these same leaders are ready to tell us how to get to the Kingdom of GOD..."follow the prophet."
They are like substitute bus drivers who do not have a map of where to go, but they still drive around and hope no one notices.
6. The phrase "children of corruption" is remarkably apt for the current cadre of men making a base salary of at least $120,000 a year, not to mention the money paid them for sitting on church-owned company boards, free housing, etc. The corruption comes from telling everyone that they are not paid.
7. I presently have plenty of lumber in my own vision to work on, and I have probably committed more sins than any Mormon in history except Brigham Young and Ted Bundy. We all need to repent, and high church office does not make you immune from sin.
And why beholdest the mote that is in thy brother's eye,
but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or wilt thou say to thy brother,
let me pull out the mote out of thine eye;
and behold a beam is in thine own eye.

The Ten Commandments for those who skipped the Old Testament : Part One
January 13, 2017
1. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
JESUS CHRIST is speaking. We are to worship him, and not some man. JESUS is the God of this earth. One of Satan's top ten lies "Follow the Prophet" comes to mind as a way to create a false god. Good luck following the winner of the "oldest living apostle contest".
This does not preclude the possibility of other gods. JESUS does have parents, the male and female who make up the Most High GOD. Right now we need to be laser-focused on CHRIST. He has his own equally great spouse. For now we need to prove we can acknowledge that without JESUS we all go to Hell forever, even Eagle Scouts.
2. "Thou shalt not make any graven image..."
This would seem to include art depicting GOD, since he is in heaven. But Deseret Book makes a tidy profit on various Christi.
3. "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain."
This has nothing to do with profanity, and everything to do with falsely portraying that you have information directly from the LORD. For example, every President of the LDS church starting with Brigham Young. Joseph Smith is the only LDS church President not to break the second commandment.
Joseph also said "I love that man better who swears a stream as long as my arm, and yet deals justice to his neighbors and mercifully deals his substance to the poor, that the long, smooth-faced hypocrite."
4. "Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy."
The best way I know to make the Sabbath unholy is to spend 3 hours every Sunday, in a building paid for by tithing money that was supposed to be used for poor people. If the Mormon church used those buildings as homeless shelters the rest of the week, then we could have some evidence that it was "the church of JESUS CHRIST". As long as it wastes donated money on thousands of edifices that are only used a few hours, we can be sure it is not operating with the LORD's approval.
Steve Christiansen, who was tragically killed by Mark Hoffman, used to tell his ward members "if we understood the gospel, we would not have to show up on Sunday, we would be out helping people."
5. "Honor thy Father and thy Mother, that thy days may be long on the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee."
A commandment with a promise. It does not mean all good children will live to be 100. It means that as a people (Jews, Mormons, Americans) you will be exterminated if you violate this commandment often enough and long enough.This promise is also unconditional, meaning you have to honor your parents whether they are good or bad. Feel free to disrespect the people who raised you, and see if GOD is a GOD of His word. I know of children who think themselves equal to or better than their parents...the LORD does not care. He is testing you to see if you can be humble enough and grateful enough to do right by your parents, even if they make you mad at times.
The desecration of this commandment, in my opinion, is the reason that America will be destroyed before the second coming of the SAVIOR.

My non-vision of the redemption of the dead: Some thoughts on section 138 of the D&C
January 7, 2017
I apologize for going so long without posting, but my wife and I took a short vacation. According to Robert Louis Stevenson Monterey, California is "the most felicitous meeting of land and sea in creation." He turned out to be correct. It was a great week.
Instead of using one of Joseph Smith's many important corrections to the the Holy Bible, I am writing today about one of the flawed revelations in the LDS canon, section 138 of the Doctrine and Covenants. Joseph F. Smith received this a short time before his own death in 1918. It was canonized after his death.
"On the 7th of January 2017, I sat in my house pondering the gospel of JESUS CHRIST...
1. There are 3 levels in the spirit world (at a minimum), not two as purposed by the words of this section. The unfairness of this is as obvious as the information in section 76. Why would GOD allow men like Charles Manson, Hitler, or Stalin to share the same space as the average people of the world? Just as the sectarian notion of one heaven and one hell is patently false, this section is absurd in its idea of paradise for the righteous and prison for everyone else. The three levels of the spirit world are paradise, prison, and hell. The redeemed go to Paradise, the undecided go to Prison, and the followers of Satan go to Hell. Missionaries from Hell and Paradise are then allowed the enter Prison and attempt to persuade the undecided to either follow JESUS or Satan. This can be deciphered using section 76 and Joseph Smith's poem about the vision that led to that section.
2. The phrase "son of God" is used repeatedly in this "revelation" but that falls short of the glory of CHRIST. He is GOD the Son, and the "eternal GOD" according to the title page of the Book of Mormon. He is the GOD who himself came down to work out the infinite atonement. He is all this and
more.
3. Verse 48 is misleading. The sealing of children to parents is when the parents have their calling and election made sure. That individual becomes sealed to Joseph Smith as our Dispensation Head, who is sealed back to Eve and Adam, who are sealed to the LORD. "Families are not forever." Only the family of GOD is forever.
4. Verse 49 is disrespectful to Samuel the Lamanite who did not dwell among the Nephites. The verse is also unfair to the Lamanites who at times were more righteous than the Nephites.
5. Verse 53 is an outright fabrication. Brigham Young is not going to the Kingdom of GOD. He had his kingdom here. He will spend as long as it takes for him in Hell to make up for all the broken-hearted women of Mormondon, who fear unnecessarily, that they will have to share their husbands with other women. Wilford Woodruff gets to answer to the LORD for lying to the US Government about ending Polygamy in 1890, when it really did not begin to end until 1904. There is also that polygamy as adultery issue hanging over his head, as well as inventing the "Founding Fathers appear in the St. George temple" myth. My theory is that a committee after Joseph F. Smith's death added the three polygamist presidents after the two martyrs Hyrum and Joseph. I know Hyrum and Joseph will be exalted along with Emma and Jerusha, the wives of their youth.
6. Verse 58 should read "The dead who repent will be redeemed, through obedience to the LORD."
The house of GOD does not exist anywhere on the Earth at present, and even if it did GOD supersedes any building.
"...Thus has the truth of the redemption of the dead been revealed to me, and I bear record, and I know that this information is true, through the power of the HOLY GHOST, who serves as the First Comforter, to prepare the broken-hearted for the Second Comforter, even GOD the Son, JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.
I realize that there is a lot of truth in section 138, but it is possible that Joseph F. Smith's words have been changed by the LDS church to fit their own agenda. I am sure the son of Hyrum Smith is a much better person than I am, and is probably in Paradise right now working out his own salvation. I mean no disrespect to a man who was doing his best in difficult times, but all men are imperfect, myself especially, and all institutions are dangerous. Don't take my word for any of this, pray about it, and decide for yourself if the philosophies of men got mingled with scripture.
