Melvin Fish, now deceased, was a Mormon Mental Health expert who was unjustly excommunicated for using "energy work" in place of priesthood to heal people from his practice in Cedar City, Utah. He was eventually rebaptized, which shows how humble he was. I am pretty sure in his shoes and I would have been going to jail and his stake leader would have gone to the emergency room (to borrow from Don Henley's song "New York Minute"). I am nothing like Mel Fish.

Avraham Gildeadi, as many of you know, is the one of the world's foremost experts on the book of Isaiah. He also happens to be LDS, and was also unjustly excommunicated by the church, and then rebaptized. He has written his own translation of Isaiah along with an outstanding commentary. Everything I know about Isaiah can be traced to Avraham.

Fish worked with some individuals who were homosexual. He wrote that GOD revealed to him that they were simply being controlled by an evil spirit of the opposite gender. For example, a man who was attracted to men, was being influenced by an evil being inside of them who was female. Right or wrong, it is an elegant solution.

Gileadi wrote today in his Isaiah newsletter that Satan is gay. I was initially stunned by this idea, but the more I think about it, the more true it seems. If the devil is the antithesis of everything that CHRIST is, then why wouldn't Satan be homosexual? CHRIST is the most perfect man to every walk the earth and the world's most noble heterosexual. He was undoubtedly married as part of his perfect example to everyone else (just like his baptism). My belief is the great and abominable church (Catholicism) excised that relationship from the canon of the Bible in order to promote their warped belief that the greater good is found in men who are supposedly not having sex, i.e. priests. We all know that Catholic priests have been some of the most abhorrent sexual deviants in history, so that idea is laughable on its face.

If JESUS is all about marriage and family in their traditional GOD mandated form, then why wouldn't Satan, the force behind the LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ+ agenda, be gay?

As always, pray to GOD to get your answers.
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-14313815893703324662023-07-23T20:51:00.005-07:002024-02-21T15:15:50.043-08:00Agency means Accountability
Thanks to Greg Wright's insightful book Satan's War on Agency I have learned some things.

1. Agency is not free. Nowhere in scripture is the term "free agency" found.

2. Satan's plan was not one of compulsion, but one that would supposedly allow us to do whatever we wanted and get away with it. Wright labels the three plans "The University of Freedom" (Satan's real plan); "Force College" (Mormonism's false idea of Satan's plan) and "Law School" (God the Father's plan).

3. See the title of this piece. Agency does not just mean freedom of choice, it means being held accountable for any choice you make.

4. Agency requires choice and different results for those choices.

There is a great section about how to raise an irresponsible child, and how to do the opposite.

I would recommend this book to anyone. It is short but to the point and filled with information anyone can understand.
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-11038060097497389102023-06-01T16:55:00.001-07:002023-06-01T16:58:50.255-07:00PRIDE goeth...
Proverbs 16:18 (unchanged by Joseph Smith) states,

Pride goeth before destruction,

and a haughty spirit before a fall.

King James Version

Fitting that the arrogant and annoying alphabet people (LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ+-=) have chosen the word "pride" to claim the month of June to celebrate their destructive lifestyle.

It seems that the most wicked people on the earth, want the rest of us average sinners to accept and sanction their foolish beliefs and choices.

Count me out.

I am celebrating June as "First Americans Month". By this I mean the Native Americans who were here long before any white Europeans. There may have been some Hebrews walking around a small part of this continent, but they were not white.

Two historical events occurred in June to make this the perfect month to remember the First Americans.

1. On June 2, 1924 the US government finally gave citizenship to Indians. To me this is like Modern Jews finally giving JESUS an Israeli passport. A most unkind cut to be certain.

2. June 25-26, 1876 Lt. Colonel George Custer tries to fight Sioux and Cheyenne Indians gathered en masse with just a small group of white guys. We all know how that turned out. Custer's hubris lead to the destruction of the 7th Cavalry.

I know how unrepented pride will go for any person who refuses to follow the loving direction of the true GOD of this world, Jesus Christ. It will lead to spiritual destruction.

Happy First Americans Month!

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-31916674562041382812023-05-29T19:29:00.004-07:002023-05-29T19:34:14.655-07:00The Parable of the Ultimate Father
The parable of the prodigal son should be renamed something closer to the title of this piece. Kenneth Bailey, long time Christian theologian living in the Middle East, makes the following statement in his seminal book Jacob and the Prodigal:

For JESUS, sin is desiring the death of GOD and desiring to take [your] gifts without reference to the giver.

(page 137)

This truth hit me right between the eyes this weekend. I, as a sinner, am like the younger son asking for his inheritance before the rightful owner is deceased. I want GOD to bless me right now for any small thing I might actually or accidentally do correctly. I want my reward NOW.

Examples:

1. Me: "I just gave some money to a beggar so I should get a raise soon."

2. Random Mormon: "I pay my tithing, so when do I get to retire?"

3. Today's college graduates: "Why is my starting salary so low, I have a college degree!"

4. Random Return Missionary; "I worked hard for 2 years in Tucson, when do I meet my future bride?'

5. Today's High School Students: "Why is my high school diploma basically worthless? I only missed 77 days of school in four years!?"

The better attitude for each of the above examples would be:

1. "God, please give that suffering person, a life as great as mine. I am have no idea how I ended up being wealthier than 95 percent of the people on this planet, but I know it was not because of any personal righteousness."

2. "What if I just gave this huge sum of money directly to the poor instead of a corporate church?"

3. "Why did I just waste 5 years of my life only to get into debt just so I get a degree that will likely not ever be related to any job I get?"

4. "There were hundreds of harder places to go than Tucson, but I am still not sure why the Apostles are not out delivering the good news like they did in the New Testament."

5. "I am lucky to have this diploma, which is better than not having one, and I better show up for work on time or I will be a homeless high school graduate."

Let us stop wishing for blessings for our supposed good works, and focus on having a relationship with JESUS and His Father.

They are not dead, and we will never be out of their debt. We owe GOD the Most High for the first atonement made in all the worlds ever created. We now owe JESUS for the most recent atonement that can save all of us from death and hell.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-86927418409505308012023-05-05T21:34:00.005-07:002023-05-05T21:55:30.253-07:00The Rich Young Ruler
I was inspired by Michael Austin's majestic essay this week on the rich young ruler ("I am the Rich Young Ruler"). You can find his wonderful words at bycommonconsent.com. Please take the time to read his piece, it is far better than anything I can come up with. There were also some good comments that followed.

1. What if they way we think the story ends says more about us and less about the rich man in the story?

If I think he went away sad, (which the text says he did), and that he did not sell his stuff (which the text does NOT say), then perhaps I am the type of person who would also not do what GOD knows is best for me. I have always read this story as ending tragically for the young man, but what if he was intially grieved at the potential loss of his beloved riches, but eventually decided to follow JESUS?

We are left like Jonah sitting outside of Nineveh hoping that GOD will not save the people of the city.

Probably not the best attitude to have. I am guilty of such bad judgement.

2. Joseph Smith adds a lot of text to this encounter.

He first changes "murder" to "kill" in Matthew 19 to match up with the correct versions of the verse in Mark 10 and Luke 18.

The people of Ammon in the BOM would rather be killed than kill, even in self-defense, so there is a lesson here about taking life in general, and not just the premeditated kind. Self-defense is certainly justified, but there is no question the Anti-Nephi-Lehis were following a higher law.

Joseph also adds to the disciples amazed questions after the encounter that "those who trust in riches" are not going to advance as far or high as possible, but that those "who trust in GOD" will be saved. Joseph's change to all three Gospels are beautifully consistent. It is worth the time to read each one and see for yourself.

3. Peter asks basically "what's in it for us" (meaning the chosen 12)? It is not just general authorities who can receive eternal life.

Jesus promises the original 12 apostles thrones on which to judge Israel. These men did leave their lives behind to follow CHRIST. They were at times knuckleheads, but their sacrifice of everything ensured that 11 of them will have eternal life.

At the end of this episode JESUS assures anyone who has ever left their comfortable family and home life to serve HIM that they will be better off both in this world, and that they will inherit eternal life in the world to come.

I believe this promise is referring to any Christian missionary. I know the Mormon church is not true, but it would be perfectly just that the young men and women who sacrifice their time and money during their prime, will be included in this promise. The vast majority are trying to bring people to JESUS. I also feel this promise extends to any missionary of any CHRIST-based faith. This sacrifice shows they are trusting in GOD.

The rich old rulers in Salt Lake should be the ones scouring the world for converts to CHRIST. Instead they fare sumptuously and steal the widow's mites to add to their untold billions. The modern 12 are trusting in riches. We know for sure how that ends.
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-35020636530445960042023-04-02T20:14:00.009-07:002023-04-02T20:24:36.765-07:00A Weekend of Fools and Foolishness
The Mormon church likes to waste its members' time on a regular schedule, but the cake-taking time waster is the twice a year snore festival known as general conference. I disliked Conference growing up, but ultimately grew to despise it as an adult. My least favorite meeting was the Saturday night Priesthood session where no one actually had any permission from JESUS to do anything, but we liked to pretend for 2 hours that we did.

This latest round of tomfoolery included the announcement of 15 new temples. Temples that will be built in some far distant future, but in the works nonetheless. For those of you keeping score, that is 50 temples announced in the last 3 general conferences.

In the first 120 years since the St. George temple opened, the church built exactly 50 temples!

On the day I was born in 1965, the church had 13 temples in operation!! It took until 1972 for the 14th and 15th temples to open.

Who are all these temples for?

The church's "lies, damned lies, and statistics" department released the church falsified figure of 17 million members as of January 1, 2023. Even if this number were magically correct, it does not create a need for 300 plus temples. More than 70 of these temples have not even started construction, and more than 60 are still being built. There are only 170 or so operating temples in the world, except of course Salt City, St. George, and Manti, but who is counting. The 3 pioneer temples are closed until further notice, or until GOD drops some fire and brimstone on them.

There is also the issue of the non-readers in the LDS church ignoring the fact that GOD historically only allows one temple per hemisphere at most. When JESUS visited the Lehites after the great destruction that accompanied his death in the new world, the Christians there did not have to ask which temple JESUS was at, because there was only one. JESUS ministered to the Samaritans in the Old World, but He did not condone their temple. JEHOVAH made his people carry their first temple around with them it the desert. No one in Palestine ever thought how convenient it might be to have temples in Capernaum and Nazareth. Most of their high priests were usurping idiots, but none of them were dumb enough to think about building multiple temples.

Finally, the most laughable moment of general conference was the announcement of a temple in Bakersfield, California. I say that as a life long resident of the area. Some of the hardest working people in the state work either in the ag or oil industries near Bakersfield. Unlike Utahns, I did not have to wait until my mission to see a black person in person. I had non-white friends, and non-Mormon friends, because I was the only LDS kid at any school I ever attended until going to BYU.

What makes the announcement ludicrous is the fact that in all of Kern County there are three stakes. Kern County, home to Bakersfield, is an area larger than the states of Connecticut and Delaware combined. In that 8,100 square miles (90 miles by 90 miles) are just under 1 million people, but still only three stakes. Three. Three stakes in a city that is the 51st largest city in the US. I estimate there are 5,000 "members" in each of the stakes, but only 2,000 of them are even nominally active. That makes 6,000 semi-active members, of which at least half are children. I would guess there are at most 2,000 or so adults with current temple recommends. I predict the "Bako" temple will only be open on Saturdays, when it opens it 2035.

General conference had one of its 2 days fall on April Fool's day. It has a 3 in 7 chance of happening every year. Very fitting. If you are going to keep announcing 50 temples every 18 months, you are going need a lot of rubes to buy the lie you are selling.
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-73978762197053347072023-03-03T20:03:00.003-08:002023-03-03T20:05:33.346-08:00Bags of Silver for a Box of Nails
My favorite female musical duo is the Indigo Girls. Two girls from the South who can harmonize like the angels. A lot of people love their song "Closer to Fine" with its ringing guitars and catchy lyrics. It is the song that catapulted them to fame. It is a great song, despite its erroneous theme.

My favorite Indigo Girls song is called "Come on Home", and it was not a hit. It has achieved a kind of cult status with its hard core fans, and they will usually play it while touring. Listening to the lyrics for the 111th time the other day while driving, the third verse finally struck me like a bolt of lightning.

There is fire... there is lust

Some will trade it all for someone they could trust.

There's a bag of silver for a box of nails

It's so simple the betrayal

Though it's known to change the world and what's to come.

I instantly thought of all the religions of the world who have traded JESUS for silver. Catholics, Evangelicals, and yes of course, Mormons. Any fool dumb enough to try to become wealthy by pretending to speak for GOD. Any group satanic enough to trick its members into paying them for the privilege of membership, or say temple entrance.

That is the true definition of taking the LORD's name in vain combined with priestcraft. Not a great way to prepare for the judgments to come. JESUS told the Jewish hierarchy that the prostitutes would get into Heaven before a corrupt leader would.

Each individual must decide for themselves whether ignoring, dismissing, or betraying JESUS is worth the money. It is not. Not for all the money on the planet.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-432207221477641622023-01-25T21:10:00.001-08:002023-01-25T21:10:29.509-08:00Words of Joseph Smith Part Two
On January 21st, 1844 Joseph Smith addressed the Saints in front of a hotel near the Nauvoo temple site. He would be killed less than half a year later.

In Wilford Woodruff's journal we get the famous quote about trying to get people to accept new ideas about the gospel of JESUS. It was like trying to make firewood using cornbread as a wedge and a pumpkin as the sledge hammer. That statement comes near the end of Joseph's talk.

In the middle of the talk comes a statement about Joseph's fears for the original Mormon church. On page 319 of The Words of Joseph Smith (edited by Ehat and Cook) we get this sentence:

"...my only trouble at the present time is concerning ourselves

that the Saints will be divided and broken up and scattered

before we get our Salvation secure..."

I believe this is one of Joseph's overlooked prophecies. It is a prophecy that has been fulfilled. There are now over 100 different sects that all lead back to Joseph Smith. Some of them have some truth, like the Book of Mormon, but none of them is recognized by GOD as His Church.

Ask GOD if this is not so.

Ask GOD if the Book of Mormon is true. I believe it is, but that is no reason to join a church.

Ask GOD if Joseph was a real prophet. I believe he was, but still no reason to join anything.

Be like Joseph and go somewhere private and ask GOD which church to join.

I am certain you will get the same answer Joseph got..."none of them."
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-49513922908014436802022-12-22T21:39:00.005-08:002022-12-22T21:48:28.668-08:00How to Save Almost Everyone
Satan mistakenly believed if he were made the Savior of this world he could save everyone. Now Paul Toscano believes that the election referenced in Abraham chapter 3 involved choosing the role of Adam as the father of all, but that is a blog post for another day.

Regardless of what was decided in the life before this one, GOD came up with a brilliant plant to save almost everyone, allowing anyone who did not want to be saved to go their own way. JESUS is the key to that salvation, and without his Atonement there is only death and hell for all.

I believe there are ways we do not normally think about that put people in a position for GOD to ratify their salvation when combined with CHRIST's sacrifice.

One part of this plan is to use the Satanic economic principles of this world against their founder the devil. What Hugh Nibley called the "Mahan principle" (kill and get gain) which was first used by the worst sibling in history Cain.

Here is my theory:

Justice requires a role reversal for the poor of this planet.

How many of the 8 billion people alive today are poor?

At least 90 percent and probably even more than that.

As long as a poor person is not stealing, lying, and murdering to "get gain" then I really like their chances for an early resurrection and exaltation. I like their chances better than my own middle class American chances. I am richer than probably 95 percent of earth's citizens. I have been given much, and for the most part I have done less with more. My comparative wealth is not an indication of any righteousness on my part. I do not ascribe to Mormonism's prosperity gospel.

Tithing won't make you rich, but it will certainly make poor people even poorer.

GOD is not just smarter than the devil, HE is infinitely more intelligent. HE is more intelligent than all of us put together. Trust HIM. I knew of the book but it is semi-rare and usually costs over 100 dollars even in used condition. I got it for less than that, and It only took two pages to learn something new.

On page 4 (which is the second page of actual text of Joseph's talks) from a sermon given in 1839 Joseph says the following about the Holy Ghost:

"...Any many that has the Holy Ghost can speak of the things of God in his own tongue,

as well as to speak in another..."

I take these to men that if a person does not have the gift of the Holy Spirit, then you can tell because they will not have the gift of tongues.

Mormons do not just magically get the Holy Ghost during their confirmations, because I have yet to meet an LDS person who can speak in tongues. I was a member for almost 50 years.

This includes me. Someday if I am truly worthy of this critical gift, it will come.

When an LDS general authority speaks in tongues during general conference and there is no need for a translator for the non-English speakers I will delete this blog.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-63141508366166281952022-10-17T18:21:00.003-07:002022-10-17T18:35:15.365-07:005 Ways to Avoid Paying for Your Own Sins
In my theology, which is based on the revelation Joseph Smith received concerning the three degrees of glory, there are three places to wait after death until the final judgment. Almost all Mormons take Joseph's vision of the afterlife to mean there are 3 potential kingdoms for the vast majority of people and a place called "outer darkness" for the foolish few.

I agree with Joseph's revelation that for GOD to be just the has to be more than just the two possible outcomes of heaven and hell. I also agree with Avraham Gileadi's ideas that Isaiah posits 7 possible layers to the afterlife. The point of this post is to get people to avoid the nightmare scenario I wrote about in my last piece, which is ending up in hell, regardless of whether there are 2, 3, 4, 7 or 99 possible places when we die.

Tucked away in Doctrine and Covenants section 76 are phrases about "hell", "spirit prison", and "paradise". I believe these 3 places to be a temporary stop after we die where a partial judgement takes place. I also believe that anyone living an obviously above average life of service, can avoid Hell altogether, without necessarily qualifying for the top spot afterwards. Whether that top Heaven is called Celestial, "Celestial Plus", Kolob or Xanadu, that kind of reward is for the few that are chosen out of the many that are called.

Since I am a slightly above average person at best, and a below average person at worst I have always been concerned with avoiding even a temporary stay in hell between death and resurrection. If I am truly average, I am risking having to pay for my own sins, because GOD will not be mocked. GOD's best child did not come here to give everyone a free pass to do whatever they want, whenever they want, for as long as they want. The bill will come due at some point, and GOD usually waits until we are dead to give us enough rope to hang ourselves, or enough time to repent.

1. Believe in JESUS and never deny that belief. This is not enough by itself, but it is a start. Satan believes there is a godly personage named JESUS. Satan was too proud to believe his superior brother was the right choice for Savior of planet Earth. Satan just does the opposite of what JESUS would do in any situation so he gets to be the proprietor of hell and outer darkness. I believe Outer Darkness to mean that you decide through you behavior that you will not accept JESUS as the true GOD of this sphere no matter what.

2. Serve people inside of your "family and friends circle" more than they serve you. This is still, not enough but we are making progress. Be a better friend, be a better parent, be a better neighbor, and stop trying to keep up with the Jones on Facebook.

3. Love your enemies. Love them enough that you would rather they killed you, instead of you killing them. Proclaim peace to avoid contention. Try to make your enemies your friends. We all we sired by the same 2 Holy Beings in Heaven. We all share the same spiritual mother and father. It is awe inspiriting to me that the Most High God loves sinful me as much as He loves sinless JESUS. We are not going to get the same blessings, but we get the same support. GOD could easily have decreed that only people who never sin get to return to his Kingdom, but he selflessly allowed imperfect people to repent until they could act perfectly.

4. Do what your conscience tells you to do in every situation. Don't worry if you ignored this literal Holy Spirit inside of you before today, just start doing what it persuades you to do from now on. For more of this idea, go to upwardthought.com, Rob Smith's blog or better yet read all of his books.

5. Share whatever excess you have with those poorer than yourself. Above all do not share your abundance with a church. Helping the least of these, we help you in the long run avoid a fate worse than death.

I am sure there are numerous other ways to avoid hell. If we truly love GOD above all else, and other people as much as we love ourselves, everything else will fall into place.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-32927997112929041052022-10-03T21:34:00.002-07:002022-10-03T21:42:07.524-07:005 Easy Ways to Damn Yourself

Here are what I consider to be the 5 best ways to limit your eternal progress.

1. Take life. Kill someone for any reason with the exceptions of self-defense and GOD asking you to (think Nephi and Laban). The Book of Mormon seems to make it possible to repent of lives taken during warfare, but I am glad I have not had to make that decision.

I think Cain and Abel are placed near the beginning of the Bible, even though they were not Eve's first children, and probably not even in the first few generations of children, in order to point out the easiest and fastest way to lose your salvation.

Take life and end your own spiritual life.

2. Refuse to give life (women) or refuse to take care of life (men). Women who can have children and do not may not got to Hell, but they are also not going anywhere near where JESUS is currently residing. I am a resigned Mormon but I still believe in the varieties of Heaven revealed to Joseph Smith. There are at least 4 major areas where we could end up, and within those 4 are almost certainly other divisions. Joseph Smith revealed there were 3 levels housed within the top kingdom.

I will leave the fate of women who have had abortions with the One True Judge JESUS. Only He and His Father, The GOD MOST HIGH knows what is in a women's heart and mind.

I would not, however, want to be a man who forced a women to have an abortion.

Men who could marry and prefer being selfish bachelors, or who father children and then abandon them will end up in the same post-mortal metro areas as other selfish beings. I believe JESUS covers the sins of people of at least Terrestrial level righteousness, meaning people making ansincere effort to do their best regardless of their circumstances. Imagine if just the decision to not get married when you could have, mandates that you first suffer for your own sins, and then end up with the self-centered people of the telestial kingdom. I guess you could spend your time describing how awful it was to pay for your sins and compare notes with your nonsensical neighbors.

3. Deny the CHRIST. Not believing in JESUS is bad enough. Going out of your way to make sure others know how foolish you are and then trying to convince them to join you in that rejection is spiritual suicide.

4. Trust in the flesh,. Do not follow a man or woman in place of JESUS. There are a couple of possibly legitimate prophets these days. No real servants GOD would require anyone to worship them, or accept they say as truth. Ask GOD what is true. Never trust a fellow human, especially me.

5. Be the One Served, rather than the one serving. JESUS came down here to this miserable place to save anyone audacious enough to emulate him.. 99 percent of all other people who attained power in world history used their position to control others and be served. If you spend your days acting like Satan, you are certainly going to end up in his dominion when you die.

There are hundreds of ways to end up with a less than ideal afterlife, but these 5 seem to be this planet's particular preferences for damning one's self.
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-33894162953062434622022-07-27T21:44:00.005-07:002022-07-27T21:47:21.221-07:00Your Mormon Temple Name is Not Unique
I am certain some of you already knew the information in the title of this piece. I did not know until my spiritual journey during my 40s (I am now 57) led me to wonder why the religion of modern Mormonism did not match the religion of early Mormonism. It also did not match up with the theology of the Book of Mormon. Just to be clear I believe the Book of Mormon to be not just another witness of JESUS, but the best witness of Him. I do not believe the veracity of the book is a reason to join any version of the Mormon Church.

After figuring out the big ideas did not match up, I resigned my membership. I then accidentally discovered that the new names given before a Mormon goes through the temple for the first time are not random. So there must be roughly 365 names for men and the same number for women? Wrong again. Since 1974 the LDS church uses a simple card that has 31 numbers on it to match the days of the month, and this card has 31 female names and 31 males names. Talk about a bunch of lazy asses. There was ten year period of time from 1965 to 1974 that the church used roughly 350 names for each day of the year, minus the days they knew the temples would be closed. Less lazy, but still silly.

I am wondering if some temple worker who got the name card for the first time has ever put two and two together and walked right out of his or her local great and spacious building. If it has happened, the church would cover it up. If would make for an excellent clip on YouTube.

My wife's temple name of Huldah was been mothballed for obvious reasons, but it used to be given to women going through their first endowment on the 6th of any month. The church has added the names of Heber and Hyrum to their latest group of the "not so special, special 31." I would be honored to have Hyrum as a name, and ashamed to have Heber. There was a biblical Heber, but his claim to fame in the Book of Judges was that his wife was awesome, so maybe Heber would actually fit me. I am fairly certain that LDS Inc. picked Heber because of Heber C Kimball. Anything to semi-secretly perpetuate their misguided goals of eternal adultery.

When you met GOD again, He will give you whatever name you merit, and it will not be shared by anyone else he talked to that day. GOD is certainly a GOD of order, but He has not boiled down all the important names in world history to just 31. My wife is very grateful that no one is going to call her Huldah ever again.
jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-45845940005126273502022-05-30T19:38:00.006-07:002022-05-30T20:14:53.700-07:00Trespassers William
The title is not a typo. Some of you will recognize it comes from A.A. Milne's series of books about Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh. Specifically it refers to a sign that is posted near the beech tree that Piglet lives in. The sign is broken and reads, "Trespassers Will". Obviously it means that the property owner at the time was warning people that the could be shot or prosecuted. We can make a fairly good guess that it is one of the two. Piglet in his innocence makes up a story that it is the name of his grandfather, Trespassers William.

All of us here on Earth are not in possession of all of the facts. At best, we only know a small part of the truth. We like to think we know a lot, and Mormons are notorious for thinking they know all or at least their leaders do. The higher up you go in Mormonism the more know-it-alls you find. There are humble Mormons at the bottom of the pecking order.

As a former Mormon I keep learning over and over that I know almost nothing in comparison to GOD. I am really only guessing at what the truth is. I may have some of it right, but it is most likely I have most of it wrong.

All the religions of the world are like Piglet. Piglet creates a story to make himself look important. The problem is no one in his circle of friends realizes the story cannot be right. Religions have come up with a narrative that supports their world view. They use that story to control their members. The goal is to get money and power. The problem is not enough people figure out that their faith leaders are as clueless as Piglet.

You then get 2 reactions to the story, acceptance or rejection. We now have a world made up of zealots and atheists. Few consider there could be a middle ground. Religion could have some truth, but there is no one true church. There is only a true GOD and that is JESUS, the literal son of the GOD MOST HIGH.

I will keep searching until I get more truth. I am like Piglet in comparison to GOD. The difference is that I know that I don't know, Piglet was blissfully ignorant. Become like a child and start asking questions assuming you know nothing. I know closer to nothing than a do to everything.

I really only know 3 things for sure:

1. I do not need a religion to find truth.

2. There is a GOD.

3. GOD is trying to save all His children, religious or not.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-73178363132716099522022-05-14T21:08:00.006-07:002022-05-14T21:12:21.855-07:00Obey GOD and Grow, Ignore Him and Wither
After JESUS gives the parable of the sower in Matthew 13 his disciples ask him why He is teaching in parables. He responds according to the King James Version with,

11. He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know

the mysteries of the kingdom of the heaven, but to them it is not given.

12. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given,

and he shall have more abundance;

but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

(Matthew 13: 11-12)

I do not know about you, but that seems a little capricious to me. I also know that JESUS is not capricious so what does verse 12 mean?

Thanks to Joseph Smith's inspired work on the Bible we now know.

The JST takes verse 12 and splits it into two parts and changes the main verb.

For whosoever receiveth, to him shall be given,

and he shall have more abundance;

But whosoever continueth not to receive,

from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

That sounds more like GOD to me. If you receive instruction from Him, and you follow it, you get more instruction. You grow. If you continue to trust GOD and follow his counsel, then eventually you can have your calling and election made sure. That is the best possible outcome for the test we are currently taking.

If you get information from GOD and ignore it or fail to heed it, then you wither. The risk is that is you do that enough without repenting you can die spiritually. Dying spiritually is infinitely worse than physically dying.

GOD knows more than all of us put together, so we don't we just start listening to Him? He only has our best interests at heart. He loves us unconditionally, but HE cannot bless us equally, unless we all start doing what he advises us to do.

No one is going to get to the other side and say,

"Boy, I sure regret following JESUS!"

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-17171925088917333582022-05-07T19:08:00.005-07:002022-05-07T20:17:38.247-07:00Genesis Chapter Zero, Verse One

The words of God which he spake unto Moses,

at a time when Moses was caught up into an exceeding high mountain,

and he saw God face to face,

and he talked with him,

and the glory of God was upon Moses;

therefore Moses could endure his presence.

You will not find the verse above or the information in it in any Bible other than the one Joseph Smith produced. I like to call the first chapter of Joseph's Bible, "Genesis Chapter 0."

Think of the knowledge restored in just that verse! People can talk to God face to face? By the way, the GOD here referred to is the Most High God, because later in the chapter this GOD refers to his Only Begotten (Jesus). I can see why the adversary would not want that information getting out. Someone might read that and think, "if hot-headed arrogant Moses could talk to God, why not me?"

Critics of Joseph like to just say he merely plagiarized the King James Version of the Bible. There is no other Bible in the world that restores an entire chapter of material as an introduction to Genesis that is missing except the JST. According to BYU Professor Kent Jackson Joseph made roughly 3,600 changes and added 10,000 words that have counterpart in any other version!

You cannot plagiarize something that is original to your work. Actually original to Moses' work, but since it has not been seen for thousands of years we can dismiss any ridiculous notions of mere copying.

If I were trying to create my own version of the Bible I certainly would not add thousands of new words, only a fool would do that. The other possibility is someone with direct access to the Holy Spirit and permission from GOD could restore what has been lost. You decide, like the Book of Mormon, ask God if it is true. If you get a YES that does not mean you have to join the Mormon Church. It only means you should take the time to read it and learn what you cannot learn in any other translation.

I never get bored searching the JST. It starts with a thunder bolt.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-38654726694905097472022-04-12T19:21:00.003-07:002022-04-12T19:21:42.864-07:00Bountiful Children's Foundation
I write this after finding out that a couple of years ago, the Salt Lake version of the Mormon church made the Liahona Children's Foundation change its name. For those who do not know, what the now "Bountful Children's Foundation" does is give 99.9 percent of the money they receive to help starving and nutritionally challenged children in the Third World. Places like Bolivia, Cambodia, and Ghana. You can go to bountifulchildren.org to see the other countries they serve and how they serve them.

Mormon Inc. with its hundreds of billions of dollars refuses to help the least of Christ's brethren. They have the satanic audacity to make an organization that relies totally on donations to change their name. That is probably not going to go well for the selfish leaders when they leave this life. They might end up even lower than me.

My latest prayer was asking GOD to destroy the LDS church sooner rather than later. It is going to happen, but if will be on CHRIST''s timetable and not mine. JESUS most likely is waiting to see if He can influence a few more people to get out before the sword of justice drops.

Stop giving your money to a corporation posing as a church. If you have extra money please consider giving some to the Bountiful Children's Foundation.

bountifulchildren.org

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-42512472435562976992022-04-05T18:35:00.001-07:002022-04-05T18:47:47.168-07:00I Thought Mormons Don't Gamble
How do you convince the 4 million or so truly active Mormons in the world that the church is still growing? How do you create the illusion for the 8 billion other people on the planet that Mormonism is doing well?

Announce 17 new temples. Then gamble that no one will learn how farcical that is.

The LDS church could have closed 17 temples and they would still have too many for the number of temple recommend holders.

My favorite new temple will be in Montpelier, Idaho which is located in a county with 7,000 people in it. I am sure that not all 7,000 are LDS. People may say "well, it is going to serve the people of Bear Lake."

Bear Lake straddles Utah and Idaho. A former teaching colleague of mine grew up there. When people asked him what is was like living there he would say "9 months of snow, and 3 months of relatives and tourists." I have a friend who lives there now who grew up in eastern Idaho, so Bear Lake is doable for him. There are only a few hundred people rugged enough and rich enough to live there year round. If you are foolish enough to give a church ten percent of your income, you are not going to have enough money left over to live near Bear Lake. It is not as posh as Park City, but it is a giant step up from the over-priced housing of the Wasatch front.

Like any sociopath backed into a corner by the truth, Mormon Inc just keeps digging a hole of lies. The sociopath will never admit they are wrong, and Mormon leadership will never admit that the "good ship Zion" is taking on water.

Most intelligent people who find themselves in a hole of their own creation stop digging.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-84643383106586718952022-03-27T21:59:00.006-07:002022-03-28T15:07:38.733-07:00Aiding and Abetting Delusions
This post was inspired by a clip I saw while surfing through golf videos. The golf instructors I respect had a clip mixed in from the TV show Dr. Phil. In the clip a psychologist tells a transgender female that he will not participate in his delusions about gender. He goes so far as to tell him/her that he/she should not get to pick their own pronouns. He then gives the crushing example of picking his own adjectives as "brilliant" and "handsome" and asking the male/female to only use those to refer to the psychologist.

Too many people in this world are participating in other people's delusions. Parents tell their kids they can be anything. I use to coach high school athletes who believed (thanks to their parents) that they were destined for professional sports. Only one person I have coached in dozens of years in multiple sports ever ending up playing professionally.

Too few are fearless enough to say enough is enough.

"No, leaving your first wife after cheating on her is not going to work out for you here or in the hereafter" is something that has probably never been said.

"Son, it is OK that you overeat and never exercise, as long as you do not smoke or drink" has been said by too many moronic mormons.

"Mom, your obsession with your appearance is anything but normal" needs to be said more often.

"Do whatever makes you happy" needs to be spoken less. "Do right, and you can be happy" needs to be trending.

"Marriage after this life is only between a man and a woman" is said too infrequently for fear of offending the defiantly delusional.

"Kudos on your marriage to your same gender life partner" needs to be said less.

"Black lives matter" needs to be replaced with "when black criminals stop killing law abiding black people, I will start worrying about the few blacks who are unfortunately killed by law enforcement."

A couple years ago a black police officer in Utah shot a young white criminal who was robbing a convenience store. I would like to find that officer and thank him. Many will think the punishment does not fit the crime. JESUS would point out that if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. I take CHRIST's meaning to be if you arm yourself with a weapon of deadly force, you risk losing your life in the same manner. My point is I did not create a "White Lives Matter" group, and start rioting in protest. I did not ask Utah politicians to defund the police. If you do not want to killed in police custody, do not get into police custody in the first place.

I have my own numerous sins to work on, but pretending that evil is OK is not one of them.

I may end up with a less than ideal afterlife, but at least I will not be surprised. My parents loved me enough to tell me when I was not behaving morally. There were also consequences in my childhood home for misconduct. My parents never went down to school to try and argue my way out of consequences there.

GOD gave every person on this planet a conscience, how about we start using them, even if we offend someone?

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-17651537834516468012022-03-22T20:29:00.006-07:002022-03-22T20:32:56.331-07:002030
Even before reading Adrian Larsen's post about Jonathan Edwards being the gentile moved upon by the Holy Spirit in the BOM, I have had the year 2030 on my mind.

1. 200 years from the start of what was first known as the "Church of Christ".

2. 201 years since the publication of the Book of Mormon.

3. 210 years from Joseph Smith's vision.

4. 2000 years from the best guess at CHRIST's death, 30 AD.

5. 30 years after the Y2K hysteria, roughly a generation of time for the world to start thinking like the apostate Nephites before CHRIST's birth that they time had past for His first coming. Now they are rejecting the possibility of His second.

I am no prophet, and certainly no saint. I only can offer my best guess.

Could be time to think about leaving a country that deserves to be removed from the earth for so many reasons. Millions of abortions being at the top of the list. Fighting offensive wars in the name of national security. Promotion of transgenderism. Neglecting the homeless in favor of aid to corrupt allies. Desecration of the Sabbath. Promotion of adultery. And the list goes on and on, until one day very soon, GOD removes the pavilion that hides His glory from the earth.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-15079612082587438752022-03-14T20:41:00.002-07:002022-03-14T20:41:17.927-07:00The 3 Biggest Lies Mormons Believe
American Mormons fervently believe a lot of things. The three things that are the most dangerous are the following:

1. The Mormon church is true. It is GOD's only source of salvation.

2. The United States of America is the best country on earth. It can never fail. The states are only united because "Dishonest Abe" forced them to stay that way by waging total war against the South. I would rather not trade places with that fool in the afterlife. I have enough sins to worry about, but killing innocent civilians who are my own countrymen is not one of them.

3. The President of Mormonism Incorporated speaks to GOD. That is laughable. A guy who cannot operate a motor vehicle is lucid enough to get revelation from the MOST HIGH GOD? No chance.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-38570032280523691792022-02-09T21:07:00.004-08:002022-02-09T21:17:48.304-08:00The Mark of the Beast?
After reading the work of Kendal Anderson and Rock Waterman recently, the following thought came to me:

"Maybe the "mark of the beast" from John's book of Revelation is currency."

John describes the mark as being on people's foreheads. Maybe he meant it symbolically to mean what is in the forefront of most people's minds. Your forehead is obviously very close to your brain.

John also states the mark can be in people's hands. What else passes through our hands on an almost daily basis? Coins and dollar bills and debit cards and credit cards and checks. I understand we have to use money to survive, but an unhealthy focus on it is the Satan's first, last, and best trap.

What else is more important to modern men and women than money?

What have people killed for since the days of Cain? Property, things, and money.

What motivates the evil elite behind the efforts to cull the human herd via vaccines and viruses? Wealth and power.

Why do governments exist? To steal your money via taxes.

JESUS told us 2000 years, "Ye cannot serve GOD and mammon (money). "

Perhaps if we are found at the day of judgment having put finances above our Father in Heaven, and ahead of helping our fellow man, we will bitterly regret that behavior.

Just a thought.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-64636169037977725212022-01-07T20:45:00.001-08:002022-01-07T20:45:05.119-08:00Two Churches Only
It occurred to me while driving to work the other day that there is a simple way to tell which church you belong to. I am not talking about Mormon, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, etc. I am talking about the real church of CHRIST and the church of the devil. Look the scriptures up for yourselves, but here is my simple test to see which one you belong to.

1. If you spend most of your time serving yourself, you belong to the church of the devil. The modern male tends to fall into this category.

2. If you spend most of your time serving others, you belong to the church of CHRIST. Mothers are great examples of this group.

This means there are atheists who are unwitting members of the church of CHRIST.

It also means there are Christians who are members of the church of the devil.

There are Buddhists and Hindus who follow CHRIST with their behavior. There are Mormons and Catholics and Jews who follow Satan owing to their pride.

We all need to decide which team we are on...team JESUS or team Lucifer?

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-21489495026456024402021-12-17T22:12:00.007-08:002021-12-17T22:27:42.662-08:00Get Busy Living, or Get Busy Dying
Everyone will recognize the title is from Stephen King's masterpiece The Shawshank Redemption. The real title is Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, but the film's producers probably thought that gave away a crucial clue to how the protagonist escapes prison.

The concept from the movie's iconic line is always true, but especially in these times of lunacy and fear. Most of the US is vaccinated for covid. So most of the country has gotten busy dying. The minority of folk that see through this latest gigantic lie are still busying living.

There are more people with common sense than the lying media would like us to believe. Unfortunately, the majority of Americans are fools. These are the same deluded people who think either their religion will save them, or there is no GOD. The same idiots who think you can lose weight by taking a pill. The same rubes who voted for our current president. Some of them think the LDS church president talks to GOD.

If you die of covid, or a car crash, or old age, or an accident, you have no control of that. No one is getting out of here alive.

If you die from the fake-vaccine, you did have a choice.

Living in fear is not just oxymoronic. It is completely moronic.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356558782615300202.post-577203618591957982021-12-12T20:39:00.004-08:002021-12-12T20:47:37.146-08:00Risk and Reward
As a golfer I usually think of "risk/reward" in terms of the benefits or damages to my final score when attempting a difficult shot over water, sand, or trees. In this trivial example there are two possible outcomes and the label of risk/reward correctly applies. I could pull the shot off and save a stroke or two. Or I could mishit the shot and hurt my score by incurring extra strokes when I should have been more prudent.

As a concerned person during the times of covid, I can boil my beliefs done to this on the critical nature of the vaccine risk and reward argument.

There is no reward in taking any of the covid vaccines. There is only risk.

If you are old and know that getting covid has a better chance of ending your life than that of a younger person, you should still not be vaccinated. Why? The vaccine will end your life sooner than getting covid would.

You may have a loved one who is immune-compromised, and think you should get the vaccine in an attempt to protect them. You now are damaging your own health, and with no benefit to your loved one.

The covid vaccines will not prevent your from getting covid. In fact, they will make you more likely in the long term to become immune-compromised yourself, and get a serious case of covid, your now vaccine-weakened body will now struggle to fight off.

Children do not die of Covid, and should never be vaccinated. Tread lightly in this area because if I recall JESUS really loves children.

The bottom line is that there is no person on this planet whose health will benefit from a covid vaccine. The only people who gain are those profiting from the world's fear and ignorance.

jstcommentaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512182618919698191noreply@blogger.com
