The SON Does Only What the FATHER Did!

King James John 5:19

Then answered Jesus and said unto them,

Verily, verily, I say unto you,

The Son can do nothing of himself,

but what he seeth the Father do:

for what things soever he doeth,

these also doeth the Son likewise.

There is no correction to this verse or any of the surrounding verses in the Joseph Smith Translation. Why is this important?

Here we have JESUS stating that the FATHER did everything JESUS did. I take that to mean, that just as CHRIST worked out an infinite Atonement to save the people of this Earth, CHRIST's Father, the MAN OF HOLINESS (Moses 6), worked out an atonement previous to CHRIST's, but for a different world.

I find this awe-inspiring! Here is the answer for anyone who wants to demean THE MOST HIGH GOD by insinuating He left the hard stuff for His Son. The FATHER had already been a Savior to a planet previous to CHRIST's work here. The FATHER is no coward, and he did not pass the buck to JESUS. Anyone wanting to be a God, has to serve as a Savior. Think about that for awhile.

I believe that the FATHER's atonement took place on the very first planet that He and his Queen created. I further believe that while the FATHER was mortal on that first Earth working out the atonement for the first humans, His Divine Queen was acting as the GOD in Heaven. In essence she was a single Heavenly Mother for a short period of time, while GOD MOST HIGH was serving Their children by suffering the horrific weight of the children's sins. When the FATHER finished the first atonement He returned to His Wife's side to co-rule the first Earth. These Two now rule all creation, but they appointed JESUS to be the God of this Earth.

Without the FATHER working out the first atonement, no person on any planet could be saved. There would be no JESUS to save us, because there would have been no FATHER to save JESUS.

Merry CHRISTmas and may 2019 be the year we all get much closer to GOD!

Is our righteousness keeping us from CHRIST?

Stuck in a drive-thru in Central California I had the following thought: what if our goodness is blocking our way to JESUS? Now by goodness I mean our delusional belief that we are good. CHRIST stated emphatically that there is only one good Being and that is GOD the FATHER (Matthew 17:19). Now that JESUS has worked out His infinite atonement, He is without question good by any definition of that word. (He was good before that, but He was either being stupendously humble in his answer to the rich young ruler, or He was being ironic and seeing if people understood the fact that He was also a GOD).

We all know that everyone sins, but some people fall into the "I sin less than most people, which really means I am righteous." Being less sinful does not makes us good by CHRIST's standard. Ten sins, one hundred, or a thousand, any sin is an automatic ticket to Hell. So because sin is unavoidable, maybe we should focus on something that we can control: our self-deception. Does only breaking five or ten or twenty percent of the commandments prevent us from seeking JESUS because we are not breaking most of them (Ether 12:41)?

We work so hard at avoiding sin, that when we are sometimes successful, we start believing in a form of self-atonement. By supposedly perfecting ourselves, we are in jeopardy of ending up in Hell. The pharisees of the SAVIOR's time felt they were righteous and wondered why CHRIST was spending all his time with sinners. JESUS kept answering their hypocritical questions with parables that were meant to say,

"All of you are sinners, but I am here to save you, if you will let me."

Did the haughty Jewish leaders at the time think CHRIST's statement about only the sick needing a doctor meant that He agreed with them (Mark 2:17)?

It is tempting to look at scripture and think "what a bunch of knuckleheads", but we can be just as ignorant. Today we take counsel about health and turn it into a commandment to distinguish the righteous from the sinners. Then we take this man-made commandment and add things to it to make it an even more ridiculous standard of worthiness. We do this with any rule, policy or standard. For example...

If Sister Lewis does not drink caffeinated drinks, then she must be more worthy than her second cousin who does.

If I avoid R-rated movies, then I am clearly better than people who do not.

If a woman has only one piercing, than she is more glorious than those with multiple piercings.

If a twelve year old wears a white shirt and tie and a jacket, he is worthier to pass the sacrament than the poor kid without the "Mr. Mac Aaronic priesthood package". (There is no package, because I know the owner's youngest son.  He is great person and so is his father.)

If Brother Wilkinson pays ten percent of his gross income, instead of his net, he will certainly jump to the head of the line leading to Celestial glory.

If I went on a mission, I am better than any adult male in the ward who has not.

Sister Fertig is clearly righteous than other women because she has 7 kids.

There are dozens of other examples, but the point is this: all of these random acts of righteousness are keeping us from realizing what the spiritually retarded Pharisees should have realized:

We are all sick, and so we all need the Great Physician.

We are all sinners and we all desperately need the SAVIOR.

Do not let all of your good works and righteousness get in the way of having a relationship with GOD.

Moses is a god? Aaron is a prophet?

It is Joseph Smith's birthday today (1805). A perfect day to examine another of his prophetic corrections to the Holy Bible.

King James Exodus 7:1

And the Lord said unto Moses,
See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh;
and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

Wow! I guess we are supposed to take this figuratively. That of course, leads to the quandary of what is literal in the Bible and what is not. That leads to the rabbit hole of, "it is all made up and we can ignore everything", or at least the stuff we don't like.

Thankfully, JESUS allowed and assisted (via the Spirit) Joseph Smith in changing the verse to the following:

Joseph Smith Translation Exodus 7:1

And the Lord said unto Moses,
See, I have made thee a prophet unto Pharaoh;
and Aaron thy brother shall be thy spokesman.

No offense to Aaron, but you cannot be a real prophet if you give people anything they want (the golden calf). Prophets have to say hard things to people with hard hearts. Aaron is still important here, but he is just the guy delivering the message that GOD delivers to Moses.

Moses is not a god in any sense. Moses is a prophet of the MOST HIGH. This is a real prophet, one that is literally called of GOD, by the actual voice of JEHOVAH. Moses did not take over because he was the oldest living apostle after the previous prophet died.

As far as I know that last true prophet called by GOD was Joseph Smith. Brigham admitted that he was not a prophet, but a Yankee guesser. I assume that means someone who makes an educated guess. I prefer getting my information from a true representative of GOD, and better yet, to get it directly from GOD Himself.

That should be the goal of all of us, so we can skip the middle man, and get truth directly from the Source of all truth.

Man's age limit is 120 Years?

King James Genesis 6:3

3. And the Lord said,
My spirit shall not always strive with man,
for that he also is flesh:
for his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

I was taught by a sincere institute teacher that this means that since the flood, GOD has set the upper age limit for a human being at 120 years. I then discovered the JST and learned this is not the case. Read for yourself...

JST Genesis 8:5*

5. And the Lord said unto Noah,
My spirit shall not always strive with man,
for he shall know that all flesh shall die,
yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years;
and if men do not repent,
I will send in the floods upon them.

Let's deal with the asterisk first. Because of the material left out of the book of Genesis that precedes GOD describing the creation, the chapters are numbered differently to reflect Joseph's additions.

I like the change that reflects who GOD is talking to, but that is minor compared to the change about why GOD will withhold his Spirit and what the 120 years refers to.

It has nothing to do with people being human, or flesh. This has nothing to do with an age limit and it has everything to do with a time limit being set. GOD is starting a countdown timer of 120 years from this point to the flood. That seems incredibly patient and unbelievably fair to me. I don't think any of the flood victims got to the Spirit World and said, "Hey, I only got 120 years from the time that Noah guy warned me to change my ways!"

Blake Ostler has astutely pointed out in his books, that GOD is merciful because he does not exercise immediate justice when we sin. There is always a time period allowed for the person to repent, or change their mind. GOD is just because there will be an eventual accounting, but GOD is merciful because we get time to repent.

So it is possible to pass the 120 year limit if we are lucky. Perhaps using the advice in D+C 89 to maximize our time here. Of course, that would entail drinking beer and not eating meat all the time. I would prefer being in the Spirit World, to trying to be the world's oldest human of my generation.

Noah knew he had 1 century and change to preach repentance and get an ark built. Nephi got a ship built in a tiny fraction of that time, but he did not have to preach repentance to anyone except Laman and Lemuel and some of Ishmael's hard-hearted family.

So these people are left with 2 options. It appears there was not much success, and possibly no success in getting people to turn back to GOD.

1. If a person repented at this point in time, they were taken up into Zion to be with Enoch and company. That would have obviously been better than option 2 which has two parts.

2a. Death by drowning but that pales in comparison to number 2b.

2b. The time spent in Spirit Prison for the honorable, but misguided, and the horrific time in Hell for the truly evil.

Joseph Smith strikes again.

Thou shalt not revile the gods?

I want to deal today with a short verse from the book of Exodus that creates 2 problems for the price of one.

King James Exodus 22:28

Thou shalt not revile the gods;
nor curse the ruler of thy people.

Problem #1= "the gods"

Joseph Smith taught about a plurality of Gods, so why did he change this verse? Joseph talked of at least 3 Gods in the GODHEAD, and the possibility of others joining them as subordinates, but never equals. No one on this planet is every going to be the equal of JESUS, let alone His Father.

I am wondering how this verse slipped past the monotheistic reformers from King Josiah's day who wanted to eliminate any mention of any Gods other than the MOST HIGH. This led to rejecting JESUS because the Jews of His day could not understand how GOD could have a Son who was also a GOD. Moses obviously knew there were more than one divine being after having been admitted to Their Heavenly Council with an assignment to write the first 5 books of the Bible. Moses also knew that their was ONE SUPREME GOD, because Moses had to be transfigured in order to withstand the glory of the MOST HIGH.

Problem #2 = "the ruler of thy people"

Is this the King, the High Priest, the President, the Governor, etc?
No, it means the GOD THE FATHER, as you shall see.

Joseph Smith Translation Exodus

Thou shalt not revile thy God;
nor curse the ruler of the people.

Problems solved. "thy God = "the ruler of the people"

This is before Israel got the King they were clamoring for. They dreamed of being like every other foolish nation in world history that has one guy or gal with too much power. Why have JEHOVAH tell you what to do? HE is merely smarter than all of us fallen mortals put together, with money left over to buy another planet. Kudos to Israel for a decision dumber than starting a land war in Asia in the fall.

The second line is meant to parallel the first line and say the same thing is a different way. This was written to help boneheaded Israel (and all boneheads after) learn how important GOD truly is. Repetition is the mother of learning. Sadly, the Jews did not learn, which is why they are now Jews instead of Christians.

Joseph makes a divinely inspired correction to show that no matter how many Gods there are, there is only supreme Ruler, and that is the GOD MOST HIGH.

I am personally surprised that the Utah version of Mormonism has not trotted out this verse to support their version of the ruler of the people, aka the "Prophet." Anciently, prophets never ran anything, but Latter-day Saints are not the best people at doing research. Now we get 15 pseudo-prophets running a corporation. I guess some of the "devil's dozen" (15)  realized the quandary of the first line referring to "gods." Since they do not really use the JST, they probably do not know about the revision. Maybe they could use this passage in the future to say that they are gods, because they are being worshipped as if they were.

This is just another example that shows that Joseph Smith was either the smartest person who ever lived, or he was getting help from GOD.

I choose the latter option.

Adam Lived 1000 Years!

Most people know that the King James Version of the Bible states that Adam lived 930 years. What most people do not know is Joseph Smith changed that number to 1,000 years. What I did not know and what surprises the heck out of me is that the lds Book of Moses (which is taken from Joseph Smith's Translation) does NOT reflect that change.

Can someone please explain this to me?

Is the lds church too cowardly to put in this small, but significant change?
Is it just that no one in authority can actually read?
Does anyone in Salt Lake care?
Is it the old "well we cannot trust the Reorganized church (Community of Christ)."
I guess this fits with the lds paradigm of not using the JST to begin with, because Joseph never finished his work. I do not care if Joseph only made one percent of the necessary changes in the Bible, I want to know what he did change!

The reason why this is so vital to me is that it makes perfect sense that Adam lived exactly 1,000 years. Adam was told by the MOST HIGH GOD in the Garden of Eden that he would die in the same day that he ate the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. One day to GOD is 1,000 years. GOD does not lie. Adam died at the exact end of that time frame. Time was different in the Garden, because the Earth had not yet fallen.

King James Genesis 2:17

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
thou shalt not eat of it:

For in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die.

Joseph Smith made no changes to this verse! There are hundreds of changes to the Book of Genesis, but not this critical verse.

Why exactly 1,000 years? Because Adam and Eve started out in a terrestrial state that mirrors the World of Spirits. They in essence started out in a higher state than we do, so there was no need for them to go back. Our two noble parents learned everything they needed to know and do in order to be redeemed by CHRIST and go on to enter Heaven. Since they had to wait for CHRIST to first be resurrected and given the keys to resurrect everyone else, they most likely waited in Paradise which is the highest level in the World of Spirits. But they were already sufficiently prepared to ascend.

Most of us are going to have learn a wealth of information when we are dead. The corrupt condition of the world today is not as conducive to spiritual growth as it was when Eve and Adam lived.

For example my noble Mother lived to be 92 years old and now has 908 years (if necessary) to learn and grow in the Spirit World.
A child taken at ten has 990 years if needed. If you make it to 111 years ("eleventy-one" in Tolkien speak), then you "only" have 889 years left.

The Most High God and his Queen, the Most High Goddess are perfectly fair. No one gets cheated out of their "Day" of experience. I can also promise you that someone dying young is not going to be complaining when they get to the Spirit World. Unless of course they did something so horrific as to end up in Hell. The lowest level of the Spirit World will be no day at the beach. Most people are likely to end up in the middle level, Prison, which is a terrible name for a place of enormous potential progress. The truly CHRIST-like people, regardless of religion, are going to the top level which is Paradise. If you do not believe me then read Doctrine and Covenants 76 and look for the references to the World of Spirits.

So Joseph Smith already knew most people thought the Bible was silly for many different reasons and one of them was that the original patriarchs lived apparently ridiculous lengths of time. If you are a fraud then you "correct" all of those long lives into something more believable to help sell your new religion. Joseph did not do that, because Joseph was not a fake. He made the first patriarch older, because it is the truth, however more implausible the number is.

I recognize that most of what I am saying is the Gospel according to me. I feel strongly that this is true simply because it points to the fairness and impartiality of our Divine Parents. I might not make it where GOD dwells, but I get the same chance and exact same amount of preparation as everyone else. And so do you.

The Spirit Truly is Ready, but the Flesh is Weak

Today we jump to the Gospel of Mark (KJV) or Testimony of Mark (JST). What impressed me most are the myriad of changes from chapter 14. This is during CHRIST's horrific suffering in Gethsemane. His disciples are so overwhelmed by the day's events that they do what comes natural to fallen men...they sleep.

KJV Mark 14:33

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy.

This verse makes it seem like JESUS is sore amazed and very heavy. I am certain CHRIST is not looking forward to what is about to happen, but it has not started yet.  I have no problem if JESUS were heavy and sore amazed, but the phrase does not refer to Him. Here is how Joseph Smith  was directed to change this verse.

It should read:

JST Mark

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John and rebuked them.

That is a complete change. It makes sense if you look at the changes to the previous verse (32).

KJV Mark 14:32

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

What really happened is a completely different narrative.

JST Mark

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane, which was a garden;
and the disciples began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy, and to complain in their hearts,
wondering if this be the Messiah.
And Jesus, knowing their hearts, he said to his disciples,
Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

This is significant. JESUS is rebuking Peter, James (Jacob), and John because they are complaining. They are doubting that HE is the MESSIAH. All this right before He is going to suffer for all the sins of all the world, including for 3 guys who should know better. These 3 have seen him transfigured on the Mount, and heal every possible disease and infirmity and they still doubt Him? They are lucky CHRIST is so patient that all they got was a rebuke.

So of course after being chastened by GOD the SON, these 3 decide to nap while He is suffering the crushing weight of our sins. When JESUS comes back He finds them napping on the job.

KJV Mark 14: 42-43

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

The problem is that JESUS is not saying all of these wise words.

JST Mark

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
And they said unto him,
The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Truer words were never spoken, but it is the disciples who say them. This may have earned them some mercy. It does not excuse their behavior completely, but the statement is true.

After finding them sleeping 2 more times during this agonizing night Jesus apparently tells them to sleep, but then immediately asks them to get up. Or did He?

KJV Mark 14: 46-47

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinner.

Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Of course there is something missing or why would I be writing this. JESUS does not do nonsensical things. Here is what really took place.

JST Mark

And he came to them the third time, and he saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behind, the Son of man is betrayed into the hand of sinners.

And after they had finished their sleep, he said,
Rise up, let us go; lo, he who betrayeth me is at hand.

Wow! It is almost too much to take in. JESUS has just finished the most difficult part of the atonement. He is the one who should be more exhausted than any being in history, but He allows his fallen, mortal servants to sleep. This shows the infinite difference between a GOD  and mere men. The gulf between CHRIST's perfect love and courage and the disciples weakness and cowardice is almost not measurable. I would have fared no better than these 3. Truly Moses said it best after meeting CHRIST's Father, the MOST HIGH GOD...

JST Genesis Chapter 0:7  This is found in a revelation to Moses that precedes the material on the creation in Genesis 1, so I am calling it Chapter 0. Mormons will recognize this as Moses Chapter 1:10.

And it came to pass, that it was for the space of many hours before Moses did receive again his natural strength like unto man;

and he said unto himself,

Now for this cause, I know that man is nothing, which thing I never had supposed.

The faster we figure out that we are nothing, the faster GOD can start the redemption process. The longer we think we are special the more we risk procrastinating the day of redemption until it is everlasting too late.

JESUS and Joseph and Joseph Elevating Women

The title of this post is not a mistake. We are dealing with 2 Josephs. Joseph the man trusted to take the place of GOD the FATHER and help raise the MESSIAH. The other Joseph is Joseph Smith Jr. trusted by the CHRIST to bring forth the Book of Mormon and fix thousands of mistakes in the Bible.

As we get closer to the world's date for the SAVIOR's birth, I felt is appropriate to use a change in the Bible relating to that birth. The universe's most important birthday was more likely to have been in the spring time. The critical thing is that JESUS, a GOD, was born on this planet.

Today's JST correction is very small yet quite important. This is a verse relating to JESUS' earthly parents, Mary and Joseph. This information follows Joseph's vision of the angel of the LORD telling him to fulfill his betrothal (marital obligation) to Mary.

King James Version of Matthew 1:25

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son:
and he called his name JESUS.

Joseph changes one word and shows that Joseph is not the typical arrogant male of the time period. Their are proud men in every generation, but the Jews of the day seem to be some of the worst offenders in world history. As far as Joseph Smith's day, women could not vote or own property, so why would he make a change that in any way made women equal to men?

Joseph Smith's Version of Matthew 1:25

And knew her not until she had brought forth her firstborn son:
and they called his name JESUS.

Now there are two changes here. The first is changing "till" into "until". This is better, but it does change the original meaning of the verse.

The important change is "he" to "they". This shows that Mary and Joseph were in agreement with the name of the Child. Joseph the Carpenter did not just unilaterally name the child like a modern Mormon male. The two decided together. This is a marriage modeled after our Heavenly Parents- the MOST HIGH GOD and His QUEEN.

Some people will think this is no big deal, but I think it demonstrates the LORD's love of women, and Joseph's (Mary's spouse) greatness as a man. It also shows that Joseph Smith was a prophet.

The Children of the Kingdom are Cast Out?

Right in the middle of JESUS' healing of the Roman centurion's servant is a seemingly harsh statement from our GOD.

King James Version Matthew 8: 11-12

But I say unto you that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

It can appear from this statement that no Jew, or members of the kingdom of Judah, are going to make it to the kingdom that really counts. Except that is not what the SAVIOR said. Here is the corrected version courtesy of the Prophet Joseph Smith:

Joseph Smith Translation of Matthew 8

And I say unto you that many shall come from the East and from the West and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the wicked one shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

There is one small change: the addition of the article "the" in the line "from the east and from the west." Makes the phrase more dignified and symmetrical, but it is not going to effect anyone's salvation.

There is one huge change: It is the children of the wicked one going to outer darkness and not the children of the kingdom. People who prefer satan to CHRIST get a ticket to outer darkness. People who love JESUS above all things get to enter Heaven.

So religion is not an absolute disqualification from Heaven. It is certainly still an obstacle. Why? Because too many individuals think their religion is going to save them. Of course only CHRIST can save.

There will be members of all religions in Heaven, even Mormons, but it will only be people who put JESUS above everything, especially their religion.

LDS Church elevates Satan and disrespects CHRIST

Tuesday December 11, 2018

I am not using the title of this post lightly. I have proof using the scriptures of the modern LDS church against itself. I know that 15 million Mormons love JESUS, but the 15 men at the top are not as deferential to the SAVIOR as they should be. It is made clear in the LDS church's own scriptures. Since 1876, the LDS scriptures have given respect to satan, and diminished CHRIST. I will explain.

As many of you know, but perhaps not all, there have been several versions of what is now called the Doctrine and Covenants. The first edition in 1833 was called The Book of Commandments. All subsequent editions are called the Doctrine and Covenants. Even though the doctrine part, the Lectures on Faith, has been missing since 1921. So really it should be called The Covenants.

There were 3 editions published during Joseph Smith's lifetime: 1833, 1835, and 1844. The first edition published after his death was in 1876 once the usurpers made their way to Utah.

In ALL 3 editions published during Joseph's life any mention of satan is done with a lower case s, meaning satan's name is not capitalized just like I have done in this post except for the title.

The first time the devil gets his named capitalized in mormon writ is in the 1876 edition. In every edition after that he gets a capital s. More deference for the devil.

I think it immensely symbolic of the god that Mormonism truly serves. I know the rank and file love JESUS, but the leaders of the church love Money. In Joseph's day the God of the religion was JESUS. To support that the revelations referring to CHRIST with a pronoun had the word capitalized ("He" or "Him" when referring to JESUS, but "he" or "him" when referring to any male humans.)

Since the days of brigham young (and yes I just deliberately did not capitalize that fool's name), the mormon church has referred to JESUS' alternate titles (Advocate, Ruler, King, Rock, etc) by not
capitalizing them (advocate, ruler, king, rock, etc.). So now the book has less respect for the Being that has suffered the pains of all people in an attempt to rescue them from satan and hell. That's OK because they have added JESUS to the subtitle of the book of Mormon. I am sure CHRIST is loving his second billing in the title of a book that is all about Him. Irony can be devastating.

Since 1876 the church of JESUS CHRIST of latter day saints has been diminishing GOD in its publications and elevating satan.

What could that point to?

The Sabbath was made for man

Sunday, December 2nd, 2018

Mark Chapter 2:27-28

27- And he said unto them,
The sabbath was made for man,
and not man for the Sabbath.

28- Therefore the Son of Man
is Lord also of the Sabbath.

JESUS' profound answer to the Mormons of his day. I mean the Pharisees. This statement alone is worth the time it takes to read the Gospel of Mark, but there are verses that have been left out. The original seems like a logical fallacy. Why is the JESUS Lord of the sabbath? The corrections made by Joseph Smith solve this mystery.

JST Mark Chapter 2:25-27

And he said unto them,
The Sabbath was made for man,
and not man for the sabbath.

Wherefore the Sabbath was given unto man for a day of rest;
and also that man should glorify God,
and not that man should not eat.

For the Son of Man made the Sabbath day, therefore the Son of Man
is Lord also of the Sabbath.

Now the episode makes perfect sense. JESUS is the creator of the Sabbath, and thus He is the one who gets to decide what is and is not appropriate.

And I am sure He has not expanded upon this to anyone since June 1844, so feel free to do whatever you want on the Sabbath as long as you avoid trying to make money (the god of this world). Find some time to glorify GOD and thank Him for the day off. If you are out protecting people on Sundays (fire, police, etc) then you are exempt. Heck, you are probably actually getting twice the blessings of everyone else.

Some people do not have the finances or luck to be able to avoid working on Sundays. GOD is certainly not judging them. If you are a rich man working on Sunday, that is probably another issue. The Sabbath is up to the individual's needs.

Point 1: JESUS runs this show, so stop worrying about what everyone else is doing or not doing and start repenting. JESUS gave us a day where we can take a break from the grind of survival and HE allows us to do with it whatever we want.

Point 2: JESUS values people over units of time.

Finally, I am fairly certain even 2 hours (down from 3) of listening to regurgitated LDS conference talks is not what GOD has in mind for the Sabbath. Seems more like idolatry to me. I used to waste my time in a plush building that would have better suited as a homeless shelter. Now I use my Sundays to rest: rest from labor, rest from keeping up with Jones, rest from wearing costly apparel to a spacious building, rest from boredom, and rest from religion.

Happy Sunday!

How did John Taylor and Willard Richards Survive the Carthage Mob?

Monday, November 19th

I would like to thank Ronald Meldon Karren for the following ideas I had while reading his seminal book, The Exoneration of Emma, Joseph, and Hyrum Smith (part one). I recommend it to anyone, especially people who are certain that Joseph Smith was secretly practicing plural marriage. You might be persuaded that Brigham Young and his cronies smeared Joseph after the fact to cover their own sins and lies. I was.

The title of this post is one I have never seen asked, but I am often wrong, and could be mistaken here. I take no credit for the idea. In the hail of gunfire at Carthage Jail in June of 1844 how did 2 Mormons survive? The LDS church narrative would credit divine intervention. If GOD is going to save 2 of the 4 men, why did He not save the 2 Smith brothers? Do not talk to me about sealing your testimony with your blood. The only being that had to die was CHRIST himself. It would be a stretch to think that one man survived the onslaught, but 2 is preposterous. If I were a member of a satanic mob bent on the destruction of Mormons, then I would make damn sure that there were no survivors. That would ensure no one could testify about anything.

I believe that Willard Richards and John Taylor were part of the conspiracy to kill Hyrum and Joseph.
I believe this because it allowed their allies Brigham Young and Heber C. ("Coward") Kimball to hijack the gospel of JESUS CHRIST and create a religion based on lust, adultery, and the humiliation of women. I will believe this until JESUS tells me personally that I am right or wrong.

A couple more questions for those sinking with the good ship Zion: Why do you stay in a church that supported polygamy openly for decades? Why remain with a religion that covertly supports polygamy even today? It does this by allowing men to be sealed to other women after the first wife dies, but does not allow women the same privilege. Women cannot be sealed to more than one man at a time.

JESUS assures us that an evil tree cannot bring forth good fruit.

Whether you agree or not have a great Thanksgiving!

Secret Handshakes = Secret Combinations?

Monday November 5th, 2018

Yesterday I was discussing the gospel with my astute wife, and the following hpothetical dialogue between the Book of Mormon's main editor, Mormon, and his son Moroni popped into my flawed noggin.

Mormon: Son, I tried to put as much as the LORD would allow me about the Gadianton robbers and their secret activities into our book.

Moroni: I know Father, but the supposed followers of CHRIST's gospel in the last days seem to think "your book" is about everyone but themselves.

Mormon: Sadly, you are right son. From my vision of the last days I could clearly see that the main branch that used "our book" would be having secret rituals in private buildings, and I was reminded of Gadianton's secret oaths.

Moroni: My vision of the last days made me ask why so much emphasis on palatial buildings and so little concern for the poor? I was immediately reminded of King Noah. That Young fellow, their second leader, was only charging half the taxes of King Noah, but he and his minions profited nonetheless.

Mormon: I am glad you included the LORD'S emphatic view of plural marriage as abominable in your version of the Jaredite's records. I focused on other items. I felt because of Jacob's direct statement to the followers of Nephi the first that it was clear what GOD feels about polygamy. I cannot believe that Young and his supporters thought Jacob's fiery sermon gives them a loophole.

Moroni: True, Father, Jacob was merely trying to say that if the LORD did not directly forbid plural marriage in every dispensation of the gospel, then inevitably a group of lustful fools would try and justify legalized adultery.

Mormon: Even the Lamanites were smarter than that!

Joseph's Greatest Sermon: The King Follet Discourse

In my last post I mentioned Joseph Smith's "King Follet Discourse." I believe it to be the greatest collection of truly revealed doctrinal insights from any speech in history. The occasion for the talk was the April 1844 conference of the Church of Jesus Christ. Do not confuse the 1844 version of the Mormon church with the 2018 version, but that is another story. The inspiration for the talk was the tragic death of church member King Follet, who was crushed by a tub of rocks while building a well in the Nauvoo area.

In his talk, Joseph comforts the mourners of Brother Follet (and others who had lost family members) with assurances that they will see their loved ones in the next sphere of existence. He discusses the plurality of GODs and the eternal nature of man's spirit or intelligence. He shows that the Bible is poorly translated, especially the English version. For example, the German, Latin, and most other versions of the Bible list JESUS's top three apostles as Peter, Jacob, and John. The English version has Peter, James, and John.

I do not think anyone's eternal salvation or damnation is going to rest on knowing an ancient apostle's real name. However, in the midst of his discussion of the unreliability of the Bible, Joseph makes the following 2 statements:

1. "How can we escape the damnation of hell, unless GOD be with us and reveal it to us?"

2. "Men bind us with chains."

Those 2 sentences are consecutive in the text and seem to be out of place in the midst of a discussion of Hebrew mistranslations. Having thought about it for awhile, they now seem to be the 2 most important sentences ever uttered by someone other than JESUS.

The entire speech is worth hours of study, but these 2 statements jumped out at me today. The talk is truly a masterpiece of modern revelation.

Have a great Memorial Day. I will especially miss my noble Father, John L. Peterson. He went by John L. to distinguish himself from me, his only son, John Scott. He served in the US Navy during the Second World War in the Pacific theater, and received the Purple Heart. He was a junior high school wood shop teacher. He was faithfully married to my Mother, Janet, for almost 70 years. He lived to be 93 years old and passed away just 3 years ago. I cannot blame any of my flaws and failings on my parents. I was blessed with the 2 best parents since Mary and Joseph.

The 3rd Greatest Commandment?

I am calling this post the 3rd greatest commandment, because JESUS already named the first 2:

1. Love GOD above everything.
2. Love your neighbor (any human being) as much as you love yourself.

CHRIST also gave Moses a handy list of 10 commandments that I consider "the 10 best ways to go to Hell." For example, although it appears in the Book of Mormon that certain people were forgiven for their murders, I am going to avoid being on the wrong side of that rule.

First, a list of what this commandment is not about: extra earrings, r-rated films, coffee, hair length, white shirts, tank tops, profanity, obedience to fallen men, pretentious use of middle initials, standing to honor another imperfect mortal, beer, or beards. All of those are either somewhat well-intentioned policies, good health advice, or flawed rules.

Now for my "great secret" that is not so secret.

(Joseph Smith's greatest sermon at King Follet's funeral includes a statement about "the great secret." He is referring to the idea that GODs have been human at some point in their existence. Then they advance to become Saviors of worlds. Ultimately they become perfected like our Heavenly Parents, the Elohim (plural, meaning 2 GODS, female and male). JESUS and his Spouse would also now be part of this group owing to the infinitely awesome work of the Atonement.)

Disclaimers:

1. I am a sinful man.
2. I am nothing like Joseph Smith, although I am probably a better person than Brigham Young. Unfortunately I would probably fall closer to Brigham than Joseph, and that is not a good thing. I need to repent, and then repent some more, followed by more repentance.
3. I have never seen JESUS or an angel. My telestial self would surely be incinerated if CHRIST appeared to me in HIS full glory.
4. The only smart thing I have ever done is convince my wife Kim to marry me, and 13 year later, she is still my wife. I have pulled off the greatest coup since the US bought Alaska from the Russians.

You hopefully get the idea that I am not taking the LORD's name in vain, because HE did NOT tell me to write this. I am fairly certain I was inspired to write this, but do not trust me, ask GOD.

Now for my gospel speculation on the 3rd greatest commandment.

You will be judged on how well you treat women.

Obviously this would be part of JESUS's second great commandment, because HE meant "everyone" when He said "neighbor." I just think this needed to be said.

For men, this starts with their Mother, moves to their sister(s) if they have any, goes on to their Wife, and on to any daughters. It also includes any female they encounter until the day they are resurrected. Men who think they are more important than women are going to end up in a place run by a guy who thought he was more important than the Most High GOD, and got his ass kicked out of heaven.

For women it follows the same progression and includes avoiding "cattiness" when comparing themselves to other women. Any woman who gives birth to even one child (or adopts one) is automatically a million times more worthy of the celestial kingdom than I am.

I know men will be deservedly judged by a harsher standard than women by JESUS, because women have much harder lives than men. Men rule and reign on this Earth with the proverbial "blood and horror." This reign of terror includes verbal cruelty as well as sexual or physical abuse.

Men: If you want to assure yourselves of a lengthy stay in a literal Hell, feel free to mistreat women.

If you are hoping to avoid Satan's realm, start treating all women like your eternal life depends on it...BECAUSE IT DOES!

How to Avoid Future Witch Trials

April 24, 2018

Exodus 22:18

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

That is Jehovah supposedly instructing Moses on the dangers of magic.

What tragedies could have been avoided if the original text of second book of the Pentateuch had been transmitted to us correctly, or the text not corrupted by some fool. You would think there was some pandemic of sorcery in Egypt or the land of Canaan at the time. I realize Pharaoh had his magicians, but I don't think they were a threat to humanity. There are also some misogynistic issues with GOD apparently ordering the death of witches but not warlocks.

There are estimates of 200,000 executions of witches between 1500 and 1800. Although no witches were burned in North America during the infamous Salem witch trials (they were hung), they were burned in Europe. Killing any supposed witches is unacceptable and unscriptural. Satan must have relished all the suffering this one mistake in the Old Testament has caused.

Now Dennis Prager, in his new commentary on the Book of Exodus, has to account for this concept and explain how GOD would come up with such a stipulation, when GOD said no such thing.

I am grateful to Joseph Smith for using his gifts of seership and translation to correct thousands of mistakes in the Bible, especially this one. Even the 15 pretenders in Salt Lake City are smart enough not to have themselves sustained as "translators." All of them from Brigham Young to today do not equal even one Joseph Smith, or one Hyrum Smith, or one Emma Smith.

The corrected text reads:

Thou shalt not suffer a murderer to live.

That should end all discussion of witch hunts and eliminating capital punishment.

Why Having Moroni atop the LDS temples is Appropriate

April 23, 2018

I was thinking today while driving home from work (non-priestcraft work like 99 percent of the world's population [.9 being criminals and .1 being Mormon general authorities, Catholic Priests, and other paid clergy]), that having Moroni on top of the great majority of LDS temples is absolutely perfect.

1. Moroni was not the first angel to visit Joseph Smith, Nephi was.

Why would GOD have Moroni visit? He was a great person and certainly redeemed from the fall via JESUS, but he is probably not the being who came to Joseph Smith 4 times in a 24 hour period. Honest LDS historians have pointed out that the early Mormons understood this mission was given to Nephi...you know, the guy who built the ship to get everything started?

2. Even if Moroni was the actual personage to visit Joseph, no one is getting saved because of Moroni. Having any person at the pinnacle of a supposed sacred building is nonsense, because it is a form of idolatry. The ancient Jews did not carry their Tablernacle around with a statue of Moses or Abraham for the top. The Temple in Jerusalem did not have a guy on top, or the first thing JESUS would have done was destroy the temple before his atonement. The LDS church's decision to position a person on the temple dovetails nicely with its modern abomination of "follow the prophet". Especially now that they think they have 15 prophets today. I guess that means the modern LDS church is 15 times better than the humble days of the Restoration, when only Joseph Smith was bold enough to think he was a Prophet. Why those 15 retirees think they are "seers" is laughable, but that is a post for another day.

3. If anyone should be displayed on a temple, it should be JESUS CHRIST, the God of this planet. If the Nauvoo Saints had built the first temple in Nauvoo on time and not been moved out their place, then temple work would not be a gargantuan waste of time. The LORD told those lollygaggers to get finished or their baptisms for the dead would have no validity. How then could any other temple ordinance be meaningful today, if GOD rejected the baptisms for the dead? If you think the Nauvoo Saints finished that temple to the LORD's liking, I have some ocean front property in Arizona that George Strait and I would like to sell you.

4. Finally, the LDS temple is an invention of Brigham Young mixing Masonry with Genesis to get people to pay their 10 percent entrance fee. That makes it OK with me for my former church to put a person on top of the building, because Moroni is not going to save anyone, and neither is the modern LDS church.
The potential problem for the modern LDS church is that GOD probably does not share my sense of humor.
